Jörg Thews

Partner, Swiss Insurance Leader, PwC Switzerland

Jörg is a Partner in our Zurich office and the Swiss Insurance Leader who has spent more than 25 years passionately shaping the present and future of the insurance industry.

His focus is on enabling (global and local) insurers, reinsurers and InsureTechs to operate effectively, efficiently and in a client-centric way by leveraging digital technology, product know-how as well as his excellent organisational skills and behavioural approach. He has architected and spearheaded many successful transformation programmes over the years in Switzerland, the UK and globally in the areas of P&C, Life and Health and Reinsurance.

In his role as Swiss Insurance Leader, Jörg oversees a team of more than 200 top insurance professionals who represent PwC’s vast wealth of industry expertise in Consulting, Audit and Tax & Legal.

Jörg fervently champions diversity, equity and inclusion (DEI) initiatives within both PwC and the insurance sector and is a firm believer in purposeful and sustainable organisations.

He is an avid supporter of the football clubs in both his hometown and his adopted home, reflecting a diverse personal and professional journey.
