How Daniel's Tax Workshop Participation Led to an Internship

In the Tax Workshop, we were able to work under the guidance of PwC tax experts on a fictional case study within a group setting. That was both super exciting and intellectually challenging. I highly recommend to anyone interested in tax to do the Tax Workshop because it offers profound insights into the PwC culture and the intricacies of tax. 

My participation in the Tax Workshop paved the way for an internship as I had the chance to interact with various PwC employees during and after the event. Having expressed my interest in transfer pricing, I learnt about an available position, and the recruitment process was started. After interviews with my now colleagues ranging from Associates to Partners, I received an internship within the Transfer Pricing and Value Chain Transformation team!

As this is my first corporate experience, the learning curve was very steep. There are heaps of offers on courses, workshops and seminars ranging from mastering Microsoft skills to leadership courses – you’ll always have room to grow. And I have grown, both professionally and personally, by connecting with colleagues from all over the world, sharing my own experiences and learning from theirs. 

Get out of your comfort zone and go for it! I recommend attending as many events and workshops as possible to get insights into the daily life in these work environments and valuable input about the interview process. Additionally, you’ll have a better understanding about your interests and skills you want to work on. So, it’s a win-win situation, both professionally and personally.
