Before your first working day at PwC

• In the weeks after you’ve signed the contract, you'll receive an automated email with the subject title 'Workday Inbox – Your Daily Digest' inviting you to start your onboarding in Workday.
• There will be a few tasks in your Workday inbox (e.g. enter your IBAN number, upload a copy of your ID or passport). Please complete these tasks as soon as possible, so that we can get everything ready in time for your start date with us (e.g. to set up your laptop and provide your email address).
• To help you complete these tasks, we have uploaded a 'starter checklist' in the Workday tool under the 'My tasks' section. This checklist provides detailed explanations for each task.

• Please provide your private mobile phone number in Workday before your first working day. The mobile phone number is required to set the initial password for your business notebook and to enable you to change the password securely. 
• When completing the onboarding tasks in your Workday inbox, click on the task 'Enter Contact Information' and scroll down to 'Work Contact Information'. Click “add” under the 'Primary Phone' and enter the details: Phone Device ('Mobile'), Country/Territory Phone Code and Phone. Phone Number and Visibility ('Public'). Click 'Submit'.
• If you have already completed your onboarding tasks, log into your Workday account, type 'Change My Contact Information' in the search field and proceed as explained above.
• By adding your phone number, it will be visible to all PwC Workday users. If you don’t want to share your number, you can remove it at any time after you’ve logged in to your business notebook for the first time.

• If you have not yet received your final work certificate from your current/latest employer and/or you have not included it in your application, please send it by email to HC4You (hc4you@pwc.ch) no later than three months after your start.
• Please note that once you have taken up your job with us, you must enter the following information in your employee profile in Workday: your highest education level as well as all diplomas/certificates relevant to your job at PwC (e.g. Certified Auditor, Certified Tax Expert, Certified Accountant, Certified Fiduciary Expert, etc.)
• If your employment contract stipulates the need for evidence of a passed exam, kindly submit the necessary documentation (diploma, written confirmation from the university, etc.) to HC4You (hc4you@pwc.ch) promptly upon receipt.

Family benefit claim for employees / Anmeldung Familienzulagen für Arbeitnehmende / Demande d’allocations familiales pour salariés, Family benefit claim for employees in Geneva / Supplementary form for ‘child in education’

• If you are eligible for family allowances (usually for children below the age of 16, please refer to the Federal Social Insurance Office for details) please fill in the application form(s) (German, French, English) and send it/them via e-mail to HC4You (email: hc4you@pwc.ch).
• If you live in the Canton of Geneva, you must use this form (English, French).
• If you are eligible to receive child allowance, it will be paid with your monthly salary.

Processing of Child Allowances for Children Living Abroad

Please be advised that the processing of child allowances may take up to 6 months due to the fact that the Swiss Compensation Fund needs to liaise with the relevant foreign authorities.

It is possible that you or the other parent may also be required to provide additional documentation to the foreign compensation office during this process. This additional step is necessary to ensure that all requirements are met and that the child allowances are processed accurately and in compliance with regulations.

We understand that this process may seem lengthy, but please rest assured that we are working diligently to expedite the processing of child allowances for children living abroad. Your cooperation and timely submission of any required documents will greatly assist us in this regard.

Tax withholding form (tax at source)

Application form for employees living in the Canton of Geneva

• Subject to tax at source are foreign persons who
  • live in Switzerland and don't have a ‘C’ residence permit or are not married to a person who has a ‘C’ residence permit or don't have Swiss citizenship
  • live abroad and work in Switzerland as cross-border workers or international weekend commuters (regardless of nationality)
  • are in Switzerland on loan from abroad (even if staff loans are not permitted in Switzerland both generally and among affiliated companies), e.g. to work on a project in Switzerland for a PwC member company
• If you are subject to tax at source please fill in the application form for employees subject to tax at source (pages 11 and 12 of the “Information leaflet” and send it via email to our HC team HC4You (hc4you@pwc.ch).
  

•  A photographic identification is necessary for your badge, which provides access to our PwC offices in Switzerland. As such, it should include a photo of you.
• Please send your photo via email to CH_id_card@pwc.ch no later than two weeks before your start date. In the email, remember to include your full name, starting date, and office location.
• To meet our photo requirements, please ensure that the photo is in jpg or jpeg format and not larger than 4 MB. The background should be neutral, ranging from grey to white. Additionally, the photo should have adequate illumination and exposure, avoiding over-lighting or over-exposure. Please wear appropriate business attire in the photo.
• On your first day, you can pick up your badge at the welcome day or at the reception of your office location.

As an employer, we are responsible for the safety of our employees. This applies especially in emergency situations such as an evacuation. To fulfil this duty of care, we need to be aware of any disabilities and/or medical conditions that may affect emergency organisation and emergency installation.
