Several forces make tax compliance and reporting a challenge for global companies: a constant stream of new and amended legislation in global jurisdictions, inefficient internal tax operations and reporting, and a lack of transparency. A global IT company based in Switzerland sought to resolve these topics through a new tax consultancy mandate.
To pursue this journey, we looked at the company from a Swiss tax perspective and through the eyes of our well-established network worldwide. We examined in detail how to coordinate workstreams, corporate tax, indirect tax, accounting, and payroll.
Then we established a single point of contact, with the team head in Switzerland as coordination lead, and set up the extended team using our international network. The lead team in Switzerland coordinates all tax compliance globally, and works efficiently with our trusted long-term partners in countries all over the world.
