How to prepare for my interview?

We'll give you every chance to show us what you're made of and that you possess the skills we look for. And of course some tips and tricks from our Recruitment team to prepare yourself!

Be ready for our first interaction

Our first interaction could be a telephone call or an online meeting, scheduled or unannounced. If the timing doesn’t fit we’re happy to reschedule. The process can be slightly different, depending on the job you’re applying for.

Please prepare upfront to answer questions on your CV and motivation as well as

  • reasons why you want to join PwC
  • expected salary
  • possible start date

Getting ready for face-to face-interviews - online or at our offices

This is your opportunity to learn more about our firm and get to know our culture.

The interviews take place online or at one of our offices. Typically, there are several interviews and/or business cases before we can decide if it’s a match for both sides.

Please ask questions to all interview partners! This will make a difference for you and us and shows your motivation.

More helpful tips

We will be keen to assess your commercial knowledge and industry expertise, including how this can apply in the current market and economic climate, alongside any relevant or current sector developments. Most importantly, consider what might differentiate you from our current employees and be prepared to talk about this in the context of what you have achieved so far in your career.

Before your interview, take some time to think about your own business awareness. We're not looking for you to learn and recite the news, but we are interested in how you apply your knowledge and experience to demonstrate your commercial awareness.

  • What are some key products or services for the job you are applying for?
  • What type of business or economic climate do they operate within?
  • Who are their main competitors in the market and why?
  • What business issues are facing PwC?

These few examples aren't an exhaustive list, but hopefully they'll help you think about the kind of questions you might get asked in an interview situation.
