Full outsourcing - PwC runs the client's Internal Audit function from A - Z (i.e. from audit planning, through execution and reporting to management and Board/Audit Committee)
Co-sourcing - PwC Internal Audit professionals and subject matter experts complement the client's Internal Audit team or perform selected audits (e.g. IT Audits, locations abroad)
We help Boards, Senior Management and Heads of Internal Audit set up an Internal Audit function or optimise the impact of an existing Internal Audit function. This transforms Internal Audit into a true support for the organisation to meet its objectives, making processes more effective, controls more reliable and ultimately increasing efficiency.
Set-up Internal Audit function (in-house Internal Audit functions as well as outsourced Internal Audit functions)
Optimisation of Internal Audit (e.g. audit methodology, processes, communication/reporting methods, alignment with stakeholders as well as other control and audit activities)
We support Internal Audit functions in increasing their efficiency and effectiveness as well as in ensuring compliance with the International Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing (IIA Standards) and other regulatory requirements. An external quality assessment is required every five years as per the IIA Standards.
