A team of PwC Switzerland led by Sascha Beer and Marco Tremonte acted as lead advisor to Thommen-Furler AG in the acquisition of K+S Entsorgung (Schweiz) AG. The team is proud to have completed the third deal for Thommen-Furler AG within 18 months.
K+S Entsorgung (Schweiz) AG is the Swiss branch of the waste management division of the K+S group headquartered in Germany which generates an annual revenue of EUR 4.04 Bn with its c. 14,930 employees. With its full service offering in the area of the disposal of hazardous waste, K+S Entsorgung (Schweiz) AG has developed to a service provider throughout Switzerland over the last 19 years which has full access to underground structures in Germany. Even after the integration of K+S Entsorgung (Schweiz) AG, Thommen-Furler AG will further strengthen the collaboration with these underground structures in the field of underground waste disposal from industry, trade and public sector.
Thommen-Furler AG, the owner-managed company headquartered in Rüti bei Büren (BE), generates more than CHF 180 Mio. revenue with 330 employees and operates from 7 different operating sites. The company is specialized in the distribution of chemicals and lubricants, environmental technology, and the disposal and recycling of industrial and hazardous waste.
With the acquisition of K+S Entsorgung (Schweiz) AG, Thommen-Furler AG expands its competencies and capacities in the business areas waste management and recycling.
