Matthias is partner in the technology and data team at PwC Switzerland. He is a computational linguist by trade, his special field of expertise is the design and implementation of text analytics and search-driven solutions which unlock the value of unstructured big data from within and outside the enterprise.
Matthias has 19 years of management consulting experience and has led complex data and analytics projects – both strategy and implementation – with clients from different industries such as life sciences, tele communications, manufacturing, financial and public services.
Focusing on the design and implementation of next generation Data Transformation and Analytics strategies and the intelligent end-to-end automation of business processes, he uses his broad range of specialist skills in programme management, cognitive value mapping, insight platform design and delivery, text analytics and NLP, cognitive automation, and component-based authoring. Matthias holds a Master in Linguistics from Durham University and a D.E.S. in Computer Linguistics from the University of Geneva.
Matthias is fascinated by unlocking information from unstructured data by applying advanced NLP methods.
