Senior Manager, Sustainability & Climate Change, PwC Switzerland
Philipp is a Senior Manager in PwC's Sustainability and Climate Change (S&CC) team. There, he has the lead on sustainability reporting with a focus on Swiss and EU sustainability regulations as well as international non-financial reporting frameworks. He serves clients from a variety of sectors and industries (including manufacturing, energy, IT, financial services, food and retail), mainly on preparing them for non-financial reporting under the EU’s Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and the Swiss counterproposal to the Responsible Business Initiative (RBI).
Philipp has more than 14 years of experience with sustainability, energy and climate issues in the academic, private, public and non-profit sectors. Prior to joining PwC, he was Assistant Professor of Energy Governance at the University of St. Gallen, Policy Advisor at the Energy and Climate Think Tank E3G, Energy Advisor at Siemens and Trainee at the European Commission. Philipp has published widely on energy, climate, and sustainability topics and has contributed to thought leadership in these areas. He is a political scientist by training and holds degrees from Central European University, the London School of Economics and Maastricht University.
